|Short description||In December 2014 Public Library “Vladislav Petković Dis” in Čačak, jointly with the City libraries of Belgrade and Novi Sad, participated in an event of organized gathering of family legacy collections that have to do with the First World War remembrance in the western part of Serbia.
The event called “Mobilization of Memory” was conducted under the patronage of the European project “Europeana 1914-1918”.
Public Library Čačak succeeded to enrich “Europeana 1914-1918” web portal with more then 2200 pages of digitized material with the detailed metadata and 15 video recordings of oral testimonies.
Almost one hundred people visited the Library in Čačak on the 12th of December 2014, the day of “collection of memory”, fifty-two of them shared their original items or personal memories related to the Great War. This movie was made in an effort of remembering the whole event!

|Short biography for author(s)||Mirko Drmanac is a librarian for serial collections at the Public Library of Čačak since 2005. He has graduate degree in History from the University of Belgrade, as well as a vocational degree in Library and Information Science. His interests cover electronic resources and records, bibliographies, history with historiography, and music. He likes to experiment with music and to produce his own compositions or cover versions of well-known plays.|
